Oksana Voronych graduated from the Faculty of Theoretical Physics at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Her scientific interests comprise condensed matter physics, polaritons, Bose-Einstein condensates and quantum optics. Privately, she is keen on music, especially opera.
Oksana Voronych obtained her M.Sc. degree in physics in May 2012 based on her thesis, Ground state variation function for system: bose liquid + impurity atom. In November 2012 she started her Ph.D. studies in the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics of the University of Gdańsk in the Research Group of Dr. habil. Magdalena Stobińska. She participates in the research projects: “Homing Plus” of the Foundation for Polish Science (2012-2015), Marie Curie Career Integration Grant (7th EU Framework Programme, 2012-2016), National Science Center “Harmony” (2012-2017) and Ministry of Science and Higher Education “Iuventus Plus”(since 2015). In 2015 Oksana Voronych obtained a young researcher’s grant entitled Investigation of localized waves in polaritonic Bose-Einstein condensates.
