Dr. Thomas Sturges

Postdoc

Dr. Thomas Sturges graduated from the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences of the University of Exeter, where he studied from 2009 to 2013. His research interests focus on: condensed matter theory, nanoplasmonics, strong light-matter interactions, graphene, polaritons, quantum optics, metamaterials.

Dr. Sturges spent an industrial placement year at the optoelectronics company Gooch & Housego. In 2017 he completed his Ph.D. degree with submission of the thesis entitled Dirac Plasmon Polaritons.

From July 2017 to April 2022 Thomas Sturges worked as a postdoc in the research group of dr. habil. Magdalena Stobińska at the Department of Physics, University of Warsaw.
